A Perfect Circle Share Live Video for ‘Starless’, Filmed at London Show
A Perfect Circle have released an official video for ‘Starless’, capturing the first live performance of the track at their sold-out O2 Academy Brixton show in London on 3 June.
Directed by Jon Vulpine and Justin Jones, the video brings the band’s latest single to the stage after its release in May. The track marked A Perfect Circle’s first new material in around eight years, making its live debut a significant moment in their return to releasing music.
“Of course I’m excited to release the recordings, but our songs always take on an expanded personality once we start playing them live,” frontman Maynard James Keenan said when the single was released.
The track was recorded at guitarist Billy Howerdel’s Lankershim Ranch Studio in California, produced by Howerdel and mixed by Matty Green. Longtime collaborator Josh Freese plays drums on the recording.
Howerdel has described ‘Starless’ as a song that came together quickly, unlike others that can be worked on for years before reaching their final form. The live video now offers a view of how the track translates to the stage.
The release comes as A Perfect Circle prepare to resume touring in November, with dates across Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Hawaii, followed by a North American run in spring 2027.
