The Pit Standard is an independent music photography and editorial publication operated by Marianne Brits-Strodl.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect when you use The Pit Standard website, why we use it, and the choices and rights available to you.
Information we collect
If you contact The Pit Standard through the website, we may collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address and the contents of your enquiry.
This may include enquiries relating to photography, press, interviews, features, artists, bands or other editorial matters.
We do not currently provide user accounts, comments or a newsletter.
Website searches are not stored by The Pit Standard for the purpose of identifying or profiling individual users.

- consider photography, press, interview or feature requests
- communicate with you about an enquiry or professional relationship
- operate and maintain the website

Website hosting
The Pit Standard is hosted using Replit.
Analytics
The Pit Standard uses Replit Project Analytics to understand how visitors use the website and to monitor website performance.
Replit Analytics does not currently use analytics cookies or write a persistent visitor identifier to your browser.
When you visit the website, Replit Analytics may collect information including:
- page URL, including query strings and fragments
- page title
- website hostname
- external referring page
- screen resolution
- browser language
- browser and device type
- approximate country or location
- network request information, which may include IP address and user-agent information
This information is used for aggregate website statistics, such as approximate visitor numbers, page views, popular pages, traffic sources, countries, browsers and device types.
The Pit Standard does not configure Replit Analytics to collect contact-form contents, names, email addresses, search terms or custom interaction data.
Analytics information is sent directly to Replit, Inc. Replit may use infrastructure providers or subprocessors in providing its services.
Replit does not publish a specific retention period for Project Analytics data. Its general privacy policy states that information may be deleted or de-identified when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to legal and other retention requirements.

Some pages may contain embedded content from third-party services, such as Instagram.
When you interact with embedded third-party content, those services may process information about your visit or device. Their own privacy policies and terms may apply.
The Pit Standard does not control the privacy practices of third-party websites or services.
