Dead Poet Society Set To Release New Album Monarch Ahead Of UK Tour
Dead Poet Society will release their third studio album, Monarch, this Friday, 2 October via Spinefarm Records, before returning to the UK for a run of headline shows in early 2027.
The Los Angeles alt-rock band have been building towards the 12-track record throughout the year, releasing four tracks ahead of the album: ‘Sinner Systems’, ‘Roach’, ‘Cold’ and ‘Miami For The Weekend’. The latter arrived on 10 September as the final preview of Monarch.
Produced by Paul Meany and mixed by Grammy Award-winning producer and mixer Adam Hawkins, Monarch follows Dead Poet Society's 2024 album Fission. The new record sees the band continuing to work across the heavier and more melodic sides of their sound rather than settling into one particular lane.
Speaking about the approach to the album, vocalist and guitarist Jack Underkofler said the band wanted to “carve out their own piece of territory”, adding that he wanted to push further into the elements that make Dead Poet Society what they are.
The singles released so far offer different glimpses of that approach. ‘Cold’ arrived alongside a video directed by Underkofler, while ‘Miami For The Weekend’ provides the final introduction to the album ahead of its release this week.

Following a North American run with Honey Revenge, Dead Poet Society will head to Europe and the UK in January and February 2027. The UK leg begins in Bristol on 28 January before travelling through Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham, finishing at London's Electric Ballroom on 6 February.
Upcoming UK and Ireland dates
The London date will bring the tour to Camden's Electric Ballroom, with doors scheduled for 6pm.
With Monarch arriving this week, the upcoming UK dates will give Dead Poet Society their first opportunity to take the new material to British audiences as part of their latest headline run.
