Greta Van Fleet have shared another piece of their next record, releasing new single “Tear It Down” alongside the full tracklist for Palace for the People.

The album arrives on 9 October, three years after Starcatcher, and will be the band’s fifth studio album.

“Tear It Down” joins the previously released “Play Your Games” and “Saw You Stand”, with the 13-track record moving through titles including “Heart and the Beat”, “Field of Stars”, “Lost in the Golden” and “Born into This”.

The album was recorded in Tennessee earlier this year, with the band co-producing alongside Mike Elizondo, whose credits include work with Turnstile, Eminem and Fiona Apple.

The title has a particularly British connection. It takes its name from Alexandra Palace, which was originally known as the Palace of the People. Greta Van Fleet played the London venue during their 2022 tour, and the idea stayed with them. The band have since connected that sense of a shared space with what music can create between an artist and its audience.

With Palace for the People now less than three weeks away, “Tear It Down” gives the record another glimpse into where Greta Van Fleet are taking their sound next.
