The Lathums Announce Five Manchester Shows To Celebrate ‘How Beautiful Life Can Be’
The Lathums will return to five Manchester venues next April to celebrate five years of their debut album, How Beautiful Life Can Be, performing the record in full alongside other fan favourites.
The five-night run will take in Night & Day on 19 April, Deaf Institute on 20 April, Gorilla on 21 April, O2 Ritz on 23 April and New Century on 24 April.
The shows will see the Wigan band return to Night & Day and Gorilla, venues they played during their early years but have not returned to since before How Beautiful Life Can Be was released. The band will also perform at Deaf Institute, O2 Ritz and New Century for the first time.
It will be their first Manchester shows since two sold-out nights at O2 Apollo in 2025, making the return to smaller rooms a deliberate change of scale for a band that has since gone on to headline much larger venues.
“We’re really excited to be returning to some of the grassroots venues we played on our very first tours,” the band say. “There’s something special about those intimate rooms and the energy they bring, so coming back to them five years on feels pretty fitting. We’ll also be playing a couple of venues we’ve never played before, which we’re really looking forward to.”
Released in September 2021, How Beautiful Life Can Be went straight to Number 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart and marked the beginning of The Lathums’ rapid rise from the Manchester grassroots circuit. The album remains closely tied to that early period of the band, making the decision to revisit those venues five years later particularly fitting.
Tickets for all five shows go on general sale at 9am on Friday 9 October.
