Cage The Elephant announce seventh album Dying In Reverse and share new single ‘Make It Easy’
Cage The Elephant have announced their seventh studio album, Dying In Reverse, due for release on 5 February 2027 via Big Loud Rock. The announcement arrives alongside new single ‘Make It Easy’, which the band premiered earlier this week during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

The 12-track record follows 2024’s Neon Pill and marks a fresh creative chapter for the Kentucky-formed band. Its development was influenced in part by their experience opening for Oasis on the North American leg of the band’s reunion tour last year, an experience that appears to have reignited their appetite for making music together.
For the new album, Cage The Elephant worked with producers Justin Raisen and SADPONY (Jeremiah Raisen), bringing a different approach to the recording process. Rather than returning to familiar methods, the sessions placed greater emphasis on experimentation and working through ideas collectively in the studio.
‘Make It Easy’ follows the previously released singles ‘Beaches In Tennessee’ and ‘Dying In Reverse’. The new track adds another piece to the picture of an album that draws on garage rock, psychedelia and the band’s instinct for sharply melodic alternative rock.
Frontman Matt Shultz describes the record as one of the group’s most creatively rewarding experiences, calling it a closing chapter on the past and a move towards the future with a renewed perspective.
The announcement also comes as the band prepare for an extensive European tour in February and March 2027. The UK leg includes Cardiff, Leeds, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester, before concluding at London’s Alexandra Palace on 1 March.
With Dying In Reverse, Cage The Elephant are not simply returning with another collection of new songs. The record follows a period of renewed momentum on the road and brings a different set of collaborators into the studio, offering a new direction for a band now approaching two decades together.
