The Prodigy announce 30th-anniversary edition of ‘Breathe’

The Prodigy will mark 30 years of “Breathe” with a new 12-inch edition of the track, due out 13 November via XL Recordings.

The release brings together the original version with two remixes: The Glitch Mob’s take on the track and a version by Mefjus & Camo & Krooked. It also includes an instrumental version of “Breathe”.

The single was originally released on 11 November 1996, becoming The Prodigy’s second consecutive UK number one following “Firestarter”. Both tracks would go on to feature on The Fat Of The Land, which was released the following year.

The new edition, titled Breathe x30, is available to pre-order now ahead of its November release. Its tracklist is:

• A1 — “Breathe”
• A2 — “Breathe (The Glitch Mob Remix)”
• B1 — “Breathe (Mefjus & Camo & Krooked Remix)”
• B2 — “Breathe (Instrumental)”

The release follows a similar 30th-anniversary treatment for “Firestarter”, which The Prodigy reissued on 12-inch vinyl earlier this year with its original, instrumental and two remix versions.

The Prodigy are currently on the road, with their next date at Under The K Bridge Park in New York on 25 September. Their November European run includes shows in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Düsseldorf.
