Robert Plant & Saving Grace Announce Five-Date UK and Ireland Tour for Summer 2027
Robert Plant is heading back out on the road with Saving Grace, announcing a five-date UK and Ireland run for June 2027 under the title Root & Branch.
The former Led Zeppelin frontman will bring the band to a series of outdoor venues next summer, starting at London’s Hampton Court Palace Festival on 19 June before travelling to Lincoln Castle on 24 June, The Piece Hall in Halifax on 26 June and Scarborough Open Air Theatre on 27 June. The run will conclude at Trinity College Dublin’s Summer Series on 29 June.
Folk artists Kate Rusby and Seth Lakeman will join as special guests at the Lincoln, Halifax and Scarborough performances.
The announcement follows the recent digital release of Saving Grace: All That Glitters…, a four-track EP that continues Plant’s exploration of traditional folk, blues and Americana. The collection features two traditional songs, ‘The Blackest Crow’ and ‘Two Coats’, alongside Gillian Welch’s ‘Orphan Girl’ and Bert Jansch’s ‘Poison’.
Saving Grace brings Plant together with vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown. The project began in 2019 around Plant’s home on the Welsh borderlands, with the musicians initially brought together by a shared interest in roots music spanning folk, blues, gospel and country.
Rather than simply revisiting the sound of his earlier career, Plant has spent recent years exploring a different musical direction with the group. Their self-titled debut album arrived in 2025, receiving a warm critical response, and the new EP continues that conversation.
Plant was also recognised with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Americana Music Association Awards, acknowledging his longstanding contribution to roots music and his work with artists including Alison Krauss.
Tickets for the Root & Branch dates go on general sale at 10am on Friday 6 November, with presales taking place on 4 and 5 November.
