My Chemical Romance Finally Take The Black Parade to Number 1, 20 Years After Its Release
My Chemical Romance have secured their first-ever UK Number 1 album, with The Black Parade reaching the top of the Official Albums Chart two decades after its original release.

Originally released in October 2006, the band’s third studio album peaked at Number 2 in the UK, missing out on the top spot to Robbie Williams’ Rudebox.
Now, following a 20th-anniversary reissue released on 23 October, the record has finally claimed the position it narrowly missed all those years ago.
The expanded edition includes three additional studio recordings, ‘Heaven Help Us’, ‘Kill All Your Friends’ and ‘My Way Home Is Through You’, alongside three live recordings.
The achievement marks a significant moment for the band, whose album has remained a defining release of the 2000s alternative rock scene. Its arrival at Number 1 also comes during a year in which My Chemical Romance have been performing the record in full as part of its anniversary celebrations.
Twenty years later, The Black Parade has finally reached the top of the chart.
